I had my first in the series of "countdown doctors visits" before baby #2 arrives so I figured we'd better at least post 1 belly shot before the belly is no more. I felt like I had the gestation of an elephant when I was pregnant with Annika because we talked so much about it from the moment we found out I was pregnant. We waited quite a while to talk openly about this one and now all of a sudden I find myself 35 weeks pregnant and actually having to make plans around a due date. Crazy! This pregnancy has been great besides the fact that I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes...what?! Its actually been a good way to limit weight gain as I can't eat sweets and have to limit carbs...I'm hoping getting back into shape will be easier. I'm still working full time and enjoying the distraction. Annika is not quite sure what she thinks about having another baby around. She doesn't really want much to do with her new little cousins so it will be interesting to see how she handles her own little brother or sister. I asked Eric tonight what we are going to do with a second baby as it all seems a little overwhelming right now. He just simply said, "love it." Duh! Anyway, we are getting excited to welcome our new baby girl or boy!
I got these scrubs as a going away gift from my growth group girls before I left San Diego. They were supposed to by my "power suit" for my new job. Honestly during my first few months on the job these were a life saver for my self confidence. I would often come home and just think...man you have to have thick skin to be a nurse. It helped a lot to think about you ladies and your tireless support. I love and miss you guys...and I'm glad we didn't end up exchanging those scrub bottoms for the smaller size. These have gotten me through the pregnancy! Don't worry, I'm not wearing the top anymore...I just put it on for the picture. Yes I realize my belly is hanging out.
Aj loves her daddy's visor....and her baby. She takes that baby everywhere.
Cuddling with daddy. I am so lucky to have a husband that is so hands on with our daughter. He takes such good care of her!
And finally...fall is here. Thank goodness. Beautiful October skies are a breath of fresh air!
